Green Salad
🥗 The Classic Five Ingredients
-
Cucumber (Khira): Provides the hydrating, cooling base. Usually sliced into thin rounds or diced to add a refreshing crunch.
-
Tomato: Adds a juicy, slightly acidic sweetness and vibrant color. Best used when firm to ensure the salad doesn’t get watery.
-
Onion: Delivers a sharp, pungent kick. Usually served as thin rings (Lachha) or fine cubes.
-
Green Chilli: Provides the “heat.” Often served whole on the side for the customer to bite into, or finely chopped and tossed for a uniform spice level.
-
Lemon (Nimbu): The essential dressing. A fresh squeeze provides the vitamin C and the tangy brightness that ties all the vegetables together.
